Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Accounting Professional to join a collaborative team. The role focuses on project-based accounting, vendor and subcontractor coordination, and timely financial processing.

You will work closely with Project Managers to bill owners, manage overhead and job-cost invoices, and ensure lien waivers are collected and submitted. Strong knowledge of Viewpoint and Textura is a plus, with emphasis on accuracy under deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 5-15 years of accounting experience preferred; Construction accounting experience considered a plus.
  • Subcontractor experience preferred.
  • Viewpoint software experience preferred.
  • Textura and Title Company experience a plus.
  • Must possess effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
  • Able to work effectively under deadlines and high pressure.
  • Ability to work with and build relationships with a wide variety of people.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Project Managers to prepare billings to owners.
  • Process all overhead and job cost invoices throughout the month.
  • Work daily with vendors and subcontractors on billing and payments issues.
  • Collect, log and verify all required lien waivers from Subcontractors and suppliers for every payout.
  • Reconcile and close accounts payable and accounts receivable monthly; assist in monthly cash reconciliation and prepare collection reports.
  • Handle miscellaneous issues delegated from the controller and respond to information requests from Project Managers.

Necessary Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required

What We Can Offer You

  • Work closely with Project Managers to prepare billings to owners.
  • Process all overhead and job cost invoices throughout the month.
  • Work on a daily basis with the vendors and subcontractors on issues with billing and payments.
  • Responsible for collecting, logging and verifying all required lien waivers from Subcontractors and their suppliers for every payout are received and submitted to Project Owners as required.
  • Reconcile and close accounts payable and accounts receivable on a monthly basis and assist in the monthly cash reconciliation process. Maintain and prepare the monthly collection reports.
  • Work on a variety of miscellaneous issues delegated from the controller.
  • Respond to requests for information and analysis from the Project Managers on various job cost and subcontractor issues.
  • Develop and maintain positive relations with Subcontractors and Project Managers.
