Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking a results-driven Project Manager in Dallas to lead preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with clients and design teams to develop budgets and scopes. You will manage subcontractors, drive value engineering, and ensure on-time project delivery.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or related field with 2–10 years in construction management or engineering design, plus proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or related field is required.
  • 2-10 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
  • Experience leading ground-up commercial, light industrial, hospitality, or entertainment construction projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of the project from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Collaborate with clients and design team to develop preliminary concepts and budget.
  • Participate in proposals to review scope, reduce costs, and negotiate contracts & fees.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout for trades and vendors.
  • Identify opportunities to procure materials or equipment when advantageous.
  • Work with project superintendent on scope, schedule, and site logistics.
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site during construction.
  • Track and report project performance vs budget; prepare pay apps and progress billing.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of the project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout
  • Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget
  • Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
  • Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
  • Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
  • Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client
  • Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS in Engineering or related field
  • 2-10 years of construction management or engineering design experience
  • Previous experience leading ground-up commercial, light industrial, hospitality, or entertainment construction projects is preferred
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project

  • Typical base compensation for the Project Manager role is between $84,000.00 and $160,000.00. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.
