Job summary

ARCO, a family of construction companies, seeks an accounting professional in its Atlanta, GA office. This role supports project billing, cost tracking, and supplier relations in a collaborative, high-integrity culture.

Requirements include 5–15 years in accounting (construction experience a plus), strong Excel/Office skills, and experience with Viewpoint or Textura. ARCO offers robust benefits and long-term career growth in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare billings to owners in collaboration with Project Managers.
• Process overhead and job cost invoices monthly.
• Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors on billing and payments.
• Collect, log and verify lien waivers from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Reconcile and close accounts payable/receivable; assist in cash reconciliation.
• Provide information and analysis to Project Managers on job costs and subcontractor issues.
• Develop positive relations with subcontractors and project managers.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma required
• 5-15 years of accounting experience preferred; Construction accounting experience considered a plus.
• Subcontractor experience preferred
• Viewpoint software experience preferred.
• Textura and Title Company experience a plus.
• Must possess effective communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
• Able to work effectively under deadlines and high pressure.
• Ability to work with and build relationships with a wide variety of people.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

• Work closely with Project Managers to prepare billings to owners.
• Process all overhead and job cost invoices throughout the month.
• Work on a daily basis with the vendors and subcontractors on issues with billing and payments.
• Responsible for collecting, logging and verifying all required lien waivers from Subcontractors and their suppliers for every payout are received and submitted to Project Owners as required.
• Reconcile and close accounts payable and accounts receivable on a monthly basis and assist in the monthly cash reconciliation process. Maintain and prepare the monthly collection reports.
• Work on a variety of miscellaneous issues delegated from the controller.
• Respond to requests for information and analysis from the Project Managers on various job cost and subcontractor issues.
• Develop and maintain positive relations with Subcontractors and Project Managers.
