Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for Progressive Care (Step Down) at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. You will apply strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status and coordinate care across units.

This role requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, development of care plans, safe medication administration, and commitment to patient safety and quality improvement. BSN preferred but not required; RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
