Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Cincinnati seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for Progressive Care (Step Down) at The Jewish Hospital. You will assess patient status, coordinate care across Med-Surg and ICU interfaces, and develop care plans to improve outcomes in a safe, therapeutic environment.

Requirements include RN licensure, 1 year of RN experience, and BLS/ACLS with ACLS within 6 months of hire. The organization emphasizes compassionate, collaborative care and professional development

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1 year of RN experience in an acute hospital setting.
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS; ACLS required within 6 months of hire; BLS to be obtained from approved source prior to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments; analyze data; create and implement a plan of care; evaluate treatment effectiveness.
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications in a safe manner per state practice and organizational policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
