Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Program Supplier Quality Engineer (PSQE) to partner with Program Quality Engineering and interface with program and functional teams across the full product lifecycle. The role emphasizes ensuring supplier compliance, driving process improvements, and managing risk with AS9100/AS9145 alignment.

The role requires active DoD Secret clearance and will involve domestic travel to supplier locations as well as Raytheon sites in New England or Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline with 5+ years of quality engineering experience, or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, or MDA Assurance Provisions.
• Experience interpreting schematics and validating compliance, including hardware inspection techniques and documentation reviews.
• Proven ability to conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary quality interface between the organization and the external supply base.
• Identify supplier risks and develop plans to mitigate them.
• Ensure flow-down of requirements to sub-tier suppliers via PO, quality notes, and statements of work.
• Interpret program requirements to ensure compliance by the supply base.
• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve issues related to schematics, nonconformances, and contractual compliance.
• Oversee on-site activities such as source surveillance, inspections, FAI, and corrective action reviews.
• Drive continuous product and process improvements using RCCA, P&Ps, Six Sigma and Lean.
• Apply APQP processes to enhance supplier performance and manufacturing processes.
• Travel domestically to support supplier assessments and reviews (≈25%).
