Job summary

Raytheon, based in Andover, MA, is seeking a Program Supplier Assurance Engineer (PSQE) to act as the primary quality interface between Raytheon programs and supplier teams. You will ensure flow-down of requirements, communicate expectations, and drive supplier performance improvements using Six Sigma and Lean methods.

You will analyze defect data with program managers, lead cross-functional problem-solving, and manage corrective actions across the supply chain while supporting containment

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5 years’ relevant experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102, AS9103, AS9145, or MDA provisions.
• Experience interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.
• Experience implementing SPC, APQP, and continuous improvement in a supplier setting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Flow down product requirements to internal teams and sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and SOPs.
• Explain requirements to ensure supplier understanding and compliance.
• Drive continuous product/process improvement by identifying supplier risk and using Six Sigma/Lean tools.
• Apply APQP processes for supplier performance and engagement to improve processes.
• Analyze defect data with program managers to develop supplier improvement plans.
• Lead cross-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement with Six Sigma/Lean methods.
• Identify supplier risk; develop mitigation plans to reduce defects.
• Support containment activities for discrepant material with stakeholder input.
• Lead supplier corrective actions and monitor closure and communications.
• Represent quality in review boards covering changes to supplier designs and processes.
• Travel up to 25% to supplier sites for assessments and audits.
