Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Senior Program Quality Engineer (PQE) for the Advanced Technology (AT) Strategic Business Unit in a Hybrid role based in New England. The job involves partnering with the Program Quality Lead across the full product life cycle to ensure AS9100/AS9145 alignment and customer satisfaction. Travel is anticipated ~5% regionally with potential increases later in 2027‑2028.

A U.S. security clearance (Secret or higher) is required, with US citizenship status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with eight+ years in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Ability to provide quality technical leadership to ensure design/development results.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the program execution team to ensure conforming products and services through established processes.
• Review and approve design artifacts and change requests to assess technical impact and quality.
• Review subcontract statements of work to ensure alignment with program requirements.
• Assess technical risk of non-conformances using critical thinking and data-driven analyses.
• Support and oversee failure investigations and nonconformance reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer requirements and program needs.
• Drive compliance with the Raytheon Quality Management System and continuous improvement.
• Initiate root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and close loop controls.
