Qualifications

• MA or BA in a child- or education-related field.
• Past management of multiple employees.
• Educational leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources, family resources, social service providers.
• Knowledge of child-care licensing credentials.
• Excellent meeting and presentation facilitation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience coaching, guidance and feedback to staff.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• High level of professionalism and discretion.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient with Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to OS’s vision and objectives.
• Lead, supervise and manage assistant coordinators for afterschool and summer programs.
• Lead curriculum selection, development and implementation.
• Oversee all sites with regular visits and staff observations.
• Collaborate with HR to hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff.
• Develop annual operating budget with input from coordinators.
• Authorize and manage expenditures within the approved budget.
• Monitor program effectiveness and impact.
• Complete program information and evaluation tools by deadlines.
• Analyze student data and surveys to improve programs.
• Arrange staff development based on evaluation results.
• Build positive relationships with partner schools and stakeholders.
• Support sustainability planning with leadership.
• Develop and monitor operational policies for afterschool and summer programs.
• Recruit eligible students for participation.
• Monitor attendance and meet goals.
• Coordinate staff and partners’ efforts for outcomes.
• Collaborate with community agencies for activities.
• Identify and train volunteers and partners for activities.
• Provide mentorship for lessons and enrichment activities.
• Perform annual evaluations of direct staff.
