Job summary

NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Program Operations Specialist Trainee 1/2 to join the BAOC team within the Division of Statewide Services. The role emphasizes quality assurance, assessment review, and stakeholder education, with opportunities to support IT development and vendor oversight.

Qualifications

• One year of experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or RN license; strong field competencies.
• Candidates with Juris Doctor, master’s or higher in a related field may substitute for one year of specialized experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise for development and implementation of assessment and QM/QA programs.
• Compile and analyze assessment and QM/QA data for timely reporting to committees and leadership.
• Navigate multiple systems to complete priority reviews and field observations within time frames.
• Participate in Concerns Review Committee meetings and present documentation and clinical summaries.
• Oversee correspondence and concerns cases; support QA/QM Communities of Practice.
• Assist training of new assessors and develop training curricula.
• Coordinate and support public presentations with stakeholders and provide education.
