Job summary

The New York Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, Bureau of Assessment, Oversight and Coordination, seeks a Program Operations Specialist 1/Trainee to perform QA, oversight and administrative support for statewide assessment operations.

The role involves reviewing assessors' work, investigating concerns, supporting IT system development, and managing vendor contracts under supervision of a Licensed Master Social Work Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a human services field (sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, or related field)
• At least one year of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Two years of experience in a federal or state certified human service program; one year in professional administrative planning/coordinating/monitoring/evaluation

Responsibilities

• Quality assurance of assessors' work and assessment oversight
• Administrative support for statewide assessment operations
• Reviewing assessors' work and investigating assessment concerns
• Support IT system development and managing vendor contracts
• Serve as subject matter expert to bureau leadership and report to LMSW supervisor
