Job summary

Qualifications

The Program Operations Specialist 1 works within the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities' Bureau of Assessment Oversight and Coordination, supporting quality review of assessments, data analysis, contract vendor oversight, and stakeholder engagement. The role assists with IT system development, quality assurance processes, and training delivery across state offices and regional locations in Syracuse.

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in human services field required
• Two years of experience in federal or state certified human service program (for full Program Operations Specialist 1 level)
• Professional administrative position experience involving planning, coordinating, monitoring or evaluating services for people with developmental disabilities
• Strong writing, verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with computer systems and working knowledge of multiple data systems
• Valid New York State driver's license preferred; 65% travel required
