Job summary

The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities seeks a Program Operations Specialist to enhance planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role emphasizes data management, analysis, and reporting, with collaboration across SPS Leadership and regional staff.

Occasional evenings, weekends, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field is required.
• One year of experience in a federal or state certified human service program required for Trainee 2.
• Two years of experience for OPS Trainee 1; one year in an admin role with planning/monitoring/evaluating services.
• Substitution: higher degree can substitute for one year of specialized experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a data management specialist.
• Partner with SPS Leadership for data collection and reporting.
• Communicate with SPS leadership using data-driven tools.
• Support knowledge transfer of data analysis skills to regional staff.
• Review division activities to identify data-driven improvement opportunities.
• Monitor and maintain storage of records for SPS.
• Provide analysis for staffing output and compliance timelines.
• Participate in large-scale IT and data projects supporting SPS services.
