Job summary

The University of Notre Dame’s McDonald Center for Student Well-Being seeks a Program Manager for Operations to provide strategic operational oversight and program management. You will lead front desk operations, manage the departmental budget, review contracts, and ensure fiscal compliance while supporting after-hours wellness initiatives.

You will supervise student staff, coordinate with other units of the Division of Student Affairs, and help shape wellness programming through data collection

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with a preference in Business, Healthcare or Project/Program Management.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and evaluate priorities.
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office suite, Google applications, bookkeeping software, graphic design software, advanced use of spreadsheets, and Tableau a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead front desk operations. Establish, evaluate, and refine operational policies, service protocols, and procedures for the front desk and student facing roles.
• Manage departmental operating budget, approve routine purchasing decisions, and analyze spending trends to make cost-saving recommendations to the Director and team.
• Process contracts with internal and external service providers, ensure contract compliance, authorize invoice payments.
• Review business practices, expenses, and procurement workflows to ensure compliance with University fiscal policies.
• Assist with the operational execution of identified well-being events, aiding with the determination of resource allocation and logistical strategies.
• Attend key events to provide staffing support, which may be outside traditional business hours.
• Oversee departmental communication strategy to promote wellbeing events and resources.
• Directly supervise, train, and evaluate a team of student employees, determining work assignments and managing student performance.
• Regularly collaborates with other areas within the Division of Student Affairs, and Student Health and Wellness, student clubs and organizations, and other University units to enhance the department’s work building connections and relationships with students.
• Lead the administration, timelines, communications, and overall strategy for annual wellness surveys.
• Work with the Director and team to analyze survey findings, synthesizing data into executive summaries and recommendations for the team to shape future programming.
