This role will represent the University of Toledo to the publicesp. schools through the SCOPE outreach program by organizing andleading SCOPE sessions during which middle and high school studentsremotely control (from their classroom) highly sophisticatedresearch instrumentation located at UT. This role will be responsible for the operation, training andmaintenance of a scientific instrument located within the Collegeof Natural Sciences and Mathematics’ Instrumentation Center. Thisrole will prepare and analyze samples submitted from both,university, and industrial users. The employee will train,supervise, and assist the users of the Scanning ElectronMicroscope. Additionally, this role will assist in office duties including butnot limited to support in grant writing, responsibilities relatedto the ICenter budget, creating webpages, and assisting theDirector of the Instrumentation Center in day-to-dayoperations.
Master or Ph.D. degree preferred
