Job summary

University of Missouri - Columbia's Department of Surgery is seeking a Coordinator for the Urology Residency Program and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship to support daily operations and ensure ACGME compliance while fostering an exceptional educational experience for residents and fellows.

The coordinator collaborates with program directors, faculty, residents, medical students, and institutional offices to manage recruitment, scheduling, records, and training verification, driving program

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• At least 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily program operations with Residency and Fellowship Program Directors; implement policies and procedures.
• Lead recruitment, orientation, graduation, and internal review processes to maintain accreditation standards.
• Manage resident and fellow recruitment, interviews, communications with applicants, and compliance with application guidelines.
• Provide comprehensive administrative support: correspondence, records, inquiries, calendars, and residency training verification.
• Administer and maintain the New Innovations residency management system, including data management and reporting.
• Develop and manage educational schedules: lectures, grand rounds, conferences, and events; coordinate with presenters on topics and AV needs.
• Monitor compliance with departmental, institutional, and ACGME requirements (duty hours, evaluations, outside activities).
• Track attendance, maintain curriculum materials and competency-based goals, and document residency/fellow experiences in ACGME Case Logs and Procedure Logger.
• Prepare materials for GME internal reviews and accreditation activities; maintain faculty and curriculum information for MBM reporting.
