Job summary

The University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks a detail-oriented Residency Program Coordinator to support the daily operations of the residency training program. You will work with department faculty, residents and external accrediting bodies to ensure compliance, manage logistics and maintain accurate records.

You will oversee recruitment, rotations, evaluations, PLAs and the NRMP interview process, while coordinating orientation and program policies.

Qualifications

• Requires strong verbal and written communication to coordinate with students, faculty and external partners.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage complex placement logistics and documentation.
• High attention to detail in handling compliance, records and reporting.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with program guidelines by accrediting bodies to maintain accreditation.
• Assist with site visit prep and compile required reports and surveys.
• Manage student placement processes including ERAS coordination.
• Develop and deliver orientation programs; provide guidance on academic issues as needed.
• Contribute to departmental policies and procedures; assist in budgeting and expenditures.
• Maintain program records, files, databases and web content for accuracy and accessibility.
• Coordinate and supervise educational activities including scheduling, lectures and evaluations.
• Manage rotations and ensure scheduling and evaluations are completed.
• Plan and organize lectures and events, including graduations and PLAs; coordinate NRMP interviews.
• Maintain Accreditation Data System and track updates related to education programs.
