Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager, Programs Level 2 in Linthicum, MD to lead advanced R&D programs within the Emerging Capabilities Development organization. You will oversee cost, schedule and technical performance across complex DoD initiatives and mentor a skilled S&T team from proposal through startup, execution and completion.

Responsibilities include coordinating with customers, suppliers and industry partners, delivering executive briefings, and pursuing new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM with 8+ years experience.
• Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with DoD programs, proposals, or contracts.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams with cost, schedule, tech performance, risk, and deliverables.
• Experience preparing technical/programmatic briefings to senior leadership.
• U.S. citizenship and DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Experience applying EVMS and cost/schedule performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead a technical S&T team focused on Advanced Sensor capabilities.
• Manage lifecycle from inception through startup, execution and completion.
• Oversee cost, schedule and technical performance of the program.
• Interface with customers, suppliers and industry partners.
• Develop and deliver presentations to executives and stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities through strategic planning and proposals.
