Volunteers of America Massachusetts is seeking a Program Director for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program in Essex County, MA. You’ll supervise a team of case managers, ensure compliance with SSVF guidelines, and partner with funders to achieve housing outcomes for veterans and families.

The role requires a master’s degree in a relevant field and at least five years of homeless services management, including budgeting, staff supervision, and reporting to regulators.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Five years management experience in homeless services.
• Staff supervision and training experience.
• Budget/fiscal management and reporting to funders.
• Strong written and verbal communication with community leaders.
• Experience monitoring contracts and audits.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee weekly supervision with Case Managers.
• Develop program policy and procedures and training manuals.
• Promote homelessness prevention and rapid re-housing model for veterans.
• Ensure day-to-day operations and open communication with staff.
• Ensure compliance with licensing and funding agency rules.
• Coordinate with funders and collaterals; contribute to strategy.
• Attend community meetings to foster collaborations and address issues.
• Set up systems to measure program impact and outcomes.
• Provide required reports and documentation.
• Review and approve temporary financial assistance per SSVF guidelines.
• Determine eligibility for SSVF services per guidelines.
