Job summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States seeks a Program Manager for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program, reporting to the Associate Director of Veteran Services. Lead operations, staff supervision, budget oversight, and compliance with VOA and VA policies to end homelessness among veterans.

The role requires a Bachelor of Social Work or related degree (or equivalent experience), strong communication, organization, and advocacy skills, and a commitment to VOA's values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work or related field, or 7 years of field experience with no degree.
• Veteran with 5 years of related work experience qualifies.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach in the local communities.
• Provide staff supervision and training and conduct employee evaluations regularly.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of program budgets.
• Conduct review of employee case files and hold weekly treatment team meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all VA and VOA policies and procedures.
• Provide property management for the SSVF regional office.
• Complete all documentation and reporting requirements accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain programs database and HMIS.
• Build relationships with all relevant agencies and service providers.
• Advocate for the Veteran, integrating the client’s needs into SSVF service needs.
