Job summary

Volunteers of America of Massachusetts is seeking a Program Director for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program in Essex County. The role oversees administration, supervision of case management staff, and ensures outcomes align with grant requirements.

The position requires a master’s degree in a related field and at least five years of homelessness services management, including budget and contract oversight. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, counseling psychology, rehabilitative counseling, or related human service field, or equivalent preferred.
• Significant case management experience to homeless veterans and families.
• Five years of management experience in homeless services, including staff supervision, budget/fiscal management, contract monitoring, and reporting to funders/regulators.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, guide, oversee and conduct weekly supervision with Case Managers.
• Develop program policy and procedure and training manuals for staff supervision and monitoring.
• Promote homelessness prevention and rapid re-housing service delivery model to staff.
• Ensure daily operations and open communication across program staff.
• Ensure grant operations comply with licensing and funding rules and meet contract expectations.
• Communicate with funders and collaterals at all levels and provide input into funder strategy.
• Engage with community groups to foster collaborations and address housing-related services.
