Job summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States seeks a Program Manager for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. You will oversee operations under Veteran Services leadership, supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with VOA and VA standards while coordinating with local service providers.

The role focuses on outreach to Veterans, program reporting, and building community partnerships to end homelessness and provide stable housing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work or related undergraduate degree with minimum 3 years in the field; or 7 years in field with no degree; or a Veteran with 5 years related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, high organization, and creative problem solving.
• Commitment to VOA values: commitment, compassion, diversity, justice, integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach in local communities.
• Supervise staff and conduct regular evaluations.
• Assist in budget preparation and maintenance.
• Review employee case files and hold weekly treatment team meetings.
• Ensure compliance with VA and VOA policies and procedures.
• Maintain regional office properties and HMIS/database.
• Build relationships with agencies and service providers.
• Develop community outreach and advocate for Veterans' needs.
