Volunteers of America Mid-States is seeking a Housing Case Manager for the SSVF program to assist Veterans who are homeless or at risk. You will build landlord relationships, coordinate housing resources, and promote housing stability through trauma-informed services and advocacy.

The role requires up to 70% travel, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and strong communication and organizational skills. This exempt, full-time position supports veterans and families in the service area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; highly organized; problem solving.
• Must have a valid driver's license, auto liability insurance, and travel up to 70%.

Responsabilités

• Build partnerships with community partners and service providers to address housing barriers.
• Work with Veteran families experiencing homelessness with sensitivity to cultural backgrounds.
• Remove barriers to housing, including economic mobility and access to affordable housing.
• Explain, interpret, and apply HUD-VASH and Section 8 programs.
• Advocate for Veterans and liaise with landlords and housing agencies.
• Develop housing search plans, budgets, and goals with participants.
