Job summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States is seeking a Program Manager for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program in Bowling Green, KY. The role leads program operations, Outreach, staff supervision, budgeting, reporting, and compliance with VA and VOA policies.

The ideal candidate has a social work background with 3+ years in the field (or 5+ years for Veterans without a degree), strong advocacy and coordination skills, and a commitment to VOA's values of integrity and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work or related field; 3+ years in field, or 7 years in field with no degree, or a Veteran with 5 years related experience.
• Demonstrated ability in family needs assessment, local resource access, advocacy, counseling, and collaboration with service providers.
• Commitment to VOA values: commitment, compassion, diversity, justice, integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach in local communities.
• Supervise staff, train, and conduct evaluations.
• Assist in budgeting and financial oversight of the program.
• Review employee case files and lead weekly treatment team meetings.
• Ensure compliance with VA and VOA policies and procedures.
• Manage the SSVF regional office property.
• Complete documentation and reporting accurately and timely.
• Maintain program HMIS database and relations with agencies.
• Develop community outreach and awareness; advocate for Veterans.
