Job summary

The YWCA Northeastern Massachusetts seeks a Program Director to supervise Lynn site staff and volunteer advocates across 29 cities and towns. You will lead outreach to schools, medical and legal communities and coordinate professional and educational trainings with staff to meet community needs.

The role includes volunteer recruitment and retention, intake and safety planning, direct service duties as needed, and participation in hotline and medical advocacy rotations.

Qualifications

• M.A. or M.S. Degree in related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education; Four years supervisory experience.
• Four years of experience providing services to survivors including two years in a DV/SA Association
• Completion of the Association's 40 hour DV/SA counselor training, or equivalent, and a strong desire to work with survivors – survivors are encouraged to apply
• Commitment to respecting individual differences and serving diverse populations
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills and an ability to inspire a team
• Experience designing and implementing effective systems and procedures
• Experience and knowledge in local community service agencies
• Experience using standard computer software to improve operational efficiency
• Comfort in learning new computer software
• Access to reliable transportation
• Valid driver's license
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Supervise Lynn site staff and volunteer advocates across multiple cities and towns.
• Oversee outreach and engagement with schools, medical communities, legal communities, etc.
• Create, oversee, and market professional and educational trainings with staff.
• Manage volunteer recruitment, retention, and recognition.
• Provide direct service on an as-needed basis including counseling, safety planning, and case management.
• Participate in hotline and medical advocacy rotation.
