YWCA of Western Massachusetts is seeking a full-time Direct Service Advocate to support adult, teen, and child participants in residential programs in Springfield, MA. Qualifications

• A.A. or equivalent education or experience in a human service field is required.
• One year of counseling and direct service experience is preferred.
• Experience in a domestic violence setting is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, advocacy and role modeling to program participants living in residential programs.
• Work as part of a team with peers, supervisors, clinicians and outside connections.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality and promote trauma-informed practice.
• Engage participants in life skills, parenting, and community responsibilities.
• Document daily activities and outcomes, including AWARDS logs and case notes.
• Assist with transportation and general program operations as needed.
