Job summary

YWCA Central Massachusetts in Worcester, MA is seeking a Community Based Service Advocate to support domestic violence survivors. This role focuses on crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling, and education to promote healthy, non-violent relationships within the community.

Working Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, on-site, you will engage with diverse populations, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with schools and community organizations.

Qualifications

• Multi-lingual / Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and advocacy to victims of domestic violence in community and agency settings.
• Assess high-risk clients and facilitate access to shelter and related services.
• Develop partnerships with schools, community organizations and faith-based groups for education.
• Deliver educational presentations on healthy relationships, teen dating violence, etc.
• Maintain confidential client records in line with agency policies.
• Collect statistics for funding and reporting.
