Job summary

YWCA Central Massachusetts Inc in Massachusetts seeks a Domestic Violence Intervention Advocate to provide compassionate advocacy, crisis intervention, and survivor-centered support to victims and survivors of domestic violence. You will collaborate with local Police Departments, the District Attorney's Office, and multidisciplinary teams to promote safety and access to resources.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of domestic violence advocacy and crisis intervention.
• Experience working with diverse populations and community resources.
• Familiarity with criminal justice processes and high-risk cases in domestic violence.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual advocacy and crisis intervention to victims and survivors.
• On-site coverage at Worcester Police Department during specified hours for victim follow-up.
• Assist with restraining orders, elder/child abuse petitions, and advocacy with law enforcement.
• Collaborate with prosecutors, law enforcement, and community partners for survivor-centered support.
• Develop and implement individualized safety plans considering cultural and linguistic needs.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and complete data reporting.
