Job summary

The Brooklyn College Community Partnership (BCCP), operated under RFCUNY, seeks a full-time Program Director to lead its DYCD-funded Compass middle school program. You will oversee daily site operations, align activities with school-day learning, supervise staff, and promote youth development, SEL, and academic enrichment.

You will recruit and enroll participants, build partnerships with parents and school personnel, provide coaching to staff, and ensure compliance with NYC DOE and DYCD

Qualifications

• Associate degree (bachelor’s preferred) in child development, elementary education, physical education, or related field, plus 2 years of direct experience with children under 13.
• NYS Children’s Program Administrator Credential with 2 years of direct supervisory experience.
• SACC Credential or other official credential for school-age development.
• 2 years of college with 18 credits in relevant fields and 2 years of direct supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and implement educational, SEL, and recreational activities.
• Manage recruitment, enrollment, attendance, and communication with families and school personnel.
• Recruit and supervise staff; provide coaching and motivation for high-quality service.
• Collaborate with school admins, community partners, and stakeholders on program initiatives.
• Design activities that promote youth wellbeing and align with school-day learning.
