Job summary

Phipps Houses and Affiliates in Bronx, NY seeks a Program Director to oversee daily operations of a youth program, ensuring alignment with COMPASS standards and donor requirements.

You will design schedules, curricula, and enrichment activities, recruit and supervise staff, manage budgets, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with schools, families, and community partners to support participant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field; strong supervisory experience.
• Three years of supervisory experience in childcare or youth development.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily program operations and ensure alignment with standards and funder requirements.
• Design, implement, and monitor schedules, curricula, and enrichment activities.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise program staff; conduct staff evaluations.
• Maintain attendance, incident, and administrative records; ensure safety policies.
• Engage with schools, families, and community partners to support outcomes.
• Monitor program outcomes and ensure continuous improvement.
