United Activities Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a Program Director for a Middle School After School Program in Staten Island, NY.

The role focuses on planning and delivering a comprehensive afterschool program aligned with DYCD obligations and organizational goals. The candidate will supervise staff, manage operations, and develop new initiatives while coordinating with parents, school staff, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or SAC credentials within 18 months; required education or credentialing for the role.
• At least 2+ years direct experience with children under 13 and supervisory experience in a childcare setting.
• Familiar with DYCD regulations and NY State health requirements; able to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan the delivery of the overall program and activities aligned with the organization’s mission and DYCD obligations.
• Oversee program staff, operations, services, and program implementation with attention to site rules and schedules.
• Organize meetings, workshops, and training for staff and stakeholders to address issues and share information.
• Develop new initiatives to support the organization’s strategic direction and program growth.
• Monitor the annual budget and operation plan to support the program’s success.
• Create and implement a program evaluation framework to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and relevant legislation and standards.
• Maintain confidential client records and ensure privacy compliance.
• Address employee issues with HR as needed and manage performance and schedules.
