Job summary

Central Virginia Community College Amherst Center is seeking a dynamic Program Coordinator/Director to oversee daily operations and serve as the primary administrator for the Amherst County Early College Program. You will coordinate academic programming, student services, and dual enrollment initiatives while fostering strong partnerships with the Amherst community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, educational leadership, higher education administration, student affairs, business administration, public administration, or related field
• Experience coordinating educational programs, student services, dual enrollment initiatives, or academic support programs
• Strong collaboration with K-12 and higher education partners; excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and other collaboration tools

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the CVCC Amherst Center
• Administer Amherst County Early College Program including recruitment and enrollment
• Collaborate with school and college partners to deliver courses and services
• Coordinate student services and access to admissions, advising, financial aid, accessibility services
• Assist students and families with program requirements and pathways
• Monitor academic progress and address barriers to success
• Organize orientation, meetings, and student recognition events
• Collect, maintain, and analyze program data; prepare enrollment and outcomes reports
• Promote CVCC programs through outreach to prospective students and families
• Monitor resources and assist with budget planning
• Supervise staff, instructors, and program personnel; perform other duties as assigned
