Job summary

Averett University in Danville, VA seeks a Program Coordinator for the Center for e-Learning & Professional Credentials. This full-time, grant-funded role provides operational, administrative, and programmatic support for the Center’s workforce development, professional learning, and credentialing initiatives.

The Program Coordinator collaborates with faculty, staff, students, employers, and community partners to coordinate program logistics, maintain records, support outreach and engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Workforce Development, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in workforce development, higher education, or a related area, with a strong understanding of skill-building and credentialing.
• Demonstrated experience building partnerships with industry, community organizations, and educational institutions.
• Familiarity with micro-credentials, digital badges, and career readiness programming.
• Strong data management and reporting skills, with experience in federal or state grant reporting and monitoring systems preferred.
• Excellent communication, project management, and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Program Coordination and Operations: support scheduling, registration, meetings, workshops, events, and participant communications.
• Organize program information and resources for materials access by students, faculty, instructors.
• Coordinate program timelines with Director, faculty, and university partners; assist with administrative processes.
• Support the development and delivery of micro-credentials, digital badges, certificates, and other professional learning opportunities.
• G uide students and program participants through registration, onboarding, credential completion, and Center-related processes.
• Data, Assessment, and Grant Support: collect participation and credential attainment data; assist with grant reporting and dashboards.
• Communication, Outreach, and Events: inform students and faculty about credentials and programs; facilitate events.
