Job summary

The Gap, Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead a store team and deliver a profitable business plan while meeting or exceeding store metrics.

You will translate the brand vision into in-store execution, driving profitable sales through operations, merchandising, and talent development. You will coach and develop your team to deliver a best-in-class customer experience, oversee budget and scheduling, and ensure compliance with standards while promoting a collaborative, inclusive work

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of retail experience leading others.
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes results, identifies opportunities and makes decisions with leadership to drive KPIs.
• Drive profitable sales through forecasting and scheduling.
• Manages store budget for daily operations in support of the P&L.
• Builds highly productive teams through sourcing, selecting and developing people.
• Accountable for team performance through coaching and feedback.
• Leads implementation and execution of Standard Operating Procedures and initiatives.
• Leads the brand representation and understands competitors.
• Promotes community involvement and delivers a frictionless customer experience.
