Purpose:

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is internationally recognized for its leadership in the prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. It is the region's only comprehensive cancer center designated by the National Cancer Institute. Position Overview:

We are currently hiring a Professional Staff Nurse, ONC (RN) to support the UPMC Mercy Medical Oncology network team/office in Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time position offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus and involves a regular daytime schedule, Monday through Friday. The role is as a Treatment/Infusion Nurse, caring for a large practice of medical oncology patients. The incumbent will also assist with triage responsibilities as needed.

Role and Responsibilities:

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse responsible for setting standards for quality care, managing and providing patient care activities, and collaborating with the care team. This role involves leadership, partnership, supervision, and accountability in delivering nursing care.

The nurse establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and families to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The role also demonstrates a commitment to the community and the nursing profession.

Responsibilities:

1. Participate in quality improvement efforts, identify opportunities for enhancement, and utilize research and evidence-based practices to improve clinical care.
