Position Overview:

We are hiring a Professional Staff Nurse, ONC (RN) to float between our Medical Oncology offices in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area. Locations include UPMC Passavant in McCandless, PA, UPMC St. Margaret in Aspinwall, PA, our Moon/Sewickley office, Beaver office, and Butler office. The position offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus, mileage reimbursement, and a regular full-time daytime schedule, Monday through Friday, with floating between offices as a Treatment/Infusion nurse.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care with a focus on quality and safety, participating in department-specific quality improvement initiatives.
• Utilize research and evidence-based practices to enhance clinical care and support quality improvements.
• Maintain professional development to improve practice and patient outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and families to ensure comprehensive care.
• Demonstrate leadership, partnership, and supervision within the care team.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with colleagues and patients, respecting cultural differences and promoting a healthy work environment.
• Educate patients, families, students, and new staff, applying adult learning principles and supporting ongoing development.
• Apply the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment, formulating goals and plans tailored to each patient.
