Purpose:

We are currently hiring a Professional Staff Nurse, ONC (RN) to float between our Medical Oncology offices in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area, including UPMC Passavant in McCandless, Passavant Cranberry in Cranberry, and our Butler office. This position offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus, mileage reimbursement, and a regular full-time daylight schedule Monday through Friday, floating between offices as a Treatment/Infusion nurse.

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse responsible for setting standards of care, managing patient care activities, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The role encompasses leadership, partnership, supervision, and establishing relationships with physicians, patients, and families to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The nurse demonstrates a commitment to the community and the nursing profession.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in quality improvement efforts, identify opportunities for enhancement, and utilize evidence-based practice to improve clinical care and patient satisfaction.
• Engage in professional development, contribute to shared governance, and support change initiatives to enhance care quality and the practice environment.
• Build productive relationships with colleagues and external partners, demonstrate cultural competence, and maintain work-life balance. Report safety hazards promptly.
• Apply adult learning principles to educate patients, families, and staff; support development of students and new staff; foster an environment of open dialogue and continuous improvement.
• Use the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment, formulate daily goals, and develop personalized care plans.
