Job Description

Kalamazoo Metal Finishers has a great opportunity for Production Line Worker(s). The prime candidate(s) must be a team player by communicating and working well with others.

Work Schedule

Regular Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Possible overtime on Friday to meet production schedule.

Job Summary

Responsible for finishing customer products within prescribed specifications and operating machines efficiently.

Essential Knowledge / Tasks / Skills

• Adheres to professionalism standards set by the company and functions as a team member committed to quality in metal plating finishing.
• Sets up production machines daily according to established procedures.
• Operates production machines to produce finished goods according to guidelines.
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and work area; documents line activities as appropriate.
• Supports a culture of safety by following all safety procedures.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, carrying, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds; forklift experience is preferred.
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods.
• Ability to work independently, with flexibility, integrity, and effective collaboration with personnel and management.

Qualifications

HS diploma/GED or 1-year related experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or general labor preferred.

Equipment Competencies

Fork-truck experience preferred (training available).

Required

Steel toe / composite slip-resistant shoes.
