Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Production Technician I in Illinois to execute manufacturing processes in formulation, encapsulation, and packaging under GMP guidelines. You will set up equipment, monitor operations, and resolve performance issues while maintaining audit-ready conditions.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 2–3 years of cGMP manufacturing experience, strong technical aptitude, and ability to train others. Familiarity with SAP/MAXIMO and HMI systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or degree preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and communicate issues to operations engineers and mechanical teams.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new programs and applications.
• Understanding of GMP compliance, quality and safety standards.
• Familiarity with HMI controls, vision inspection systems, and product serialization.

Responsibilities

• Operate on the line and meet daily production targets.
• Set up, run, blowing, cleaning, and clearing equipment per records.
• Perform minor troubleshooting and in-process quality checks.
• Train colleagues on equipment and processes as a qualified trainer.
• Adhere to GMP and safety policies and maintain audit-ready production area.
