Job summary

OSI Group in Chicago is seeking a production supervisor to lead assigned employees and support the shift supervisor in achieving safety, quality and production goals. You will oversee task assignments, training, equipment setup and daily checks in a manufacturing environment.

The role offers a union work setting with overtime eligibility and a full benefits package, including 401k matching, PTO, medical/dental/vision and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• 1 year of on-the-job experience with process flow, quality, efficiency, safety and organizational requirements in the department.
• Basic computer knowledge including MS Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Assigns employees to workstations and tasks as required.
• Trains employees, checks work and corrects performance.
• Assists supervisor to meet safety, quality and production goals.
• Sets up, adjusts and inspects production equipment.
• Performs pre-op and in-run checks daily or as scheduled.
• Diagnoses production problems and initiates corrective action.
• Completes reports and maintains production records.
• Ensures work area is clean and sanitary; follows GMPs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
