Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in related field is preferred.
• Supervising and managing departments and individuals involved in food processing, preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time using effective organizational skills and judgment in an environment of frequently changing circumstances.
• Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.

Responsibilities

• Manage a production team and have authority to hire and performance-manage.
• Lead/supervise/manage 1-5 employees and establish department objectives in quality, safety, productivity, and cost.
• Develop methods to monitor department activity to improve efficiency and reduce variances and waste.
• Provide reporting and guidance to managers and ensure corrective action when needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and work rules and oversee GMPs and HACCP requirements.
• Participate in new manufacturing processes, products, and systems with input from production knowledge.
