Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a production leadership role in Alabama to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on the plant floor. The role requires overseeing daily inspections, audits, and coaching of hourly staff to meet production goals.

The candidate will track yields, drive improvements, and may travel up to 5% for site responsibilities. A bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching or mentoring to staff.
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities with analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections on production floor and lead safety audits to ensure HACCP and USDA compliance.
• Maintain product quality by enforcing safety and quality plans and training staff.
• Track production yields and efficiencies, analyze variances, and drive cost reductions.
• Lead hourly employees, conduct monthly line meetings, and guide teams toward safety and production goals.
• Travel up to 5% as required.
