Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead front-line operations, oversee an active production line, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. You will coach hourly staff, monitor yields, and drive continuous improvement on the floor and in daily line meetings.

You'll bring a Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 2+ years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to work long hours with occasional travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading training, coaching, or mentoring staff.
• Strong communication and analytical skills for solving complex process issues.
• Ability to motivate and coach employees while maintaining a positive, team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Safety and regulatory compliance on the production floor with HACCP/USDA.
• Maintaining product quality and training employees on SOPs and lock-out/tag-out.
• Tracking yields, efficiencies, and variances to improve workflows and reduce downtime.
• Directing hourly staff, leading monthly line meetings, and daily floor walks.
• Driving continuous improvement to enhance productivity and cost efficiency.
