Job summary

PowerSecure, Inc. in Durham, NC seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead production cells, safeguard safety and quality, and meet delivery schedules. You will direct Team Leads and Members, partner with planning and engineering to drive efficiency and on-time results.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma (Associate preferred), 2+ years manufacturing experience, 1+ year leadership, and ERP proficiency (SAP/IFS). Strong communication and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred; HS diploma acceptable with experience.
• 2+ years in manufacturing, preferably switchgear/power equipment assembly.
• 1+ year supervising or leading a team.
• Proficient with ERP systems (SAP/IFS/Oracle).
• Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings clearly.
• Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of manufacturing cells, ensuring cost, safety, quality and schedule.
• Review shop orders for accuracy of routings and labor hours.
• Ensure material kits and quality checks before assembly.
• Coordinate with other Supervisors/Managers to meet shipment dates.
• Approve PTO based on team goals and deadlines.
• Ensure ERP entries match physical work in IFS.
• Compile reports on on-time performance and utilization.
• Monitor attendance and clocking; resolve discrepancies.
• Implement corrective actions within the team; drive 5S and lean initiatives.
• Inspect products for conformance to engineering docs.
