Job summary

American Woodmark Corp. seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to coordinate the production process, optimize resources, and meet plant goals and customer expectations. Ideal candidates have 5+ years manufacturing and supervision experience, 5+ years in material flows and inventory management, and a background in engineering.

Six Sigma is a plus. This role requires strong planning, team leadership, problem solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 5 years supervision experience in multiple departments.
• Experience in material flows, inventory management, and process analysis.
• Six Sigma training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback to providers related to meeting or exceeding expectations defined.
• Ensure the maintenance of all production equipment.
• Plan and coordinate department's activities to support SQDC targets, and meet and/or exceed client and/or customers' expectations.
• Participate in identifying hiring needs; employee selection and training process
• Provide communication on departmental expectations, motivates team members, and identifies opportunity for improvements.
• Provide team leadership consistent with company vision, mission, CITE principles.
• Ensures Policies are followed and provides guidance and discipline.
• Establishes individual goals for team members in alignment with overall organization goals and performs periodic performance reviews to determine progress.
• Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
