Job summary

American Woodmark, a leading cabinet manufacturer, seeks a Production Coordinator to optimize department resources and meet plant goals and customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing with supervisory experience, strong planning, and a proven track record in continuous improvement. This role involves leading hourly staff, coordinating workflows, and ensuring safety and quality on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, wood related preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of supervision experience, multiple department supervision.
• Experience in material flows and inventory management; continuous improvement practices; and process analysis.
• Six Sigma training is a plus
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related discipline; extensive work experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback to providers to meet or exceed expectations defined.
• Plan and coordinate department activities to support SQDC targets and client/customer expectations.
• Supervise hourly employees; direct reports; hire, train, and evaluate staff.
• Ensure production equipment is maintained and department tasks align with Quality Specifications and SOPs.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams.
• Model CITE and Working in Teams principles and maintain a safe work environment.
