Job summary

LHH in West Dundee, IL is seeking a hands-on 3rd shift Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations on the floor, drive safety and quality, and develop high-performing teams. You will monitor metrics and coach staff to meet production goals efficiently and cost-effectively.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration with Quality and Operations to ensure regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing, food production, or industrial environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Experience analyzing production metrics and implementing process improvements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operation.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements are achieved.
• Manage and develop production personnel through coaching, training, mentoring, and performance management.
• Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, waste reduction, and yield optimization.
• Monitor labor utilization, production metrics, and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all company policies, GMPs, sanitation procedures, and operating standards.
• Partner with Quality and Operations teams to maintain product quality and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee employee scheduling, attendance, performance reviews, and team development.

This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement while ensuring production goals are met efficiently and cost-effectively. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives on the production floor, develops high-performing teams, and continuously looks for ways to improve operational performance.

Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000
