Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations in a highly regulated food environment. This hands‑on role focuses on safety, quality, and continuous improvement while developing teams and driving operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will manage daily production, monitor OEE and throughput, and collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to achieve plant objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Experience leading manufacturing teams and driving operational performance.
  • Knowledge of process controls, manufacturing systems, and KPIs.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar CI methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives.
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality under FDA, OSHA, GMP, and company policies.
  • Monitor and improve metrics like OEE, downtime, throughput, labor efficiency, and material utilization.
  • Drive CI initiatives focused on process optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings.
  • Analyze production results and implement corrective actions to improve line performance and product quality.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and support plant objectives.
  • Coach and mentor production employees through training and performance development.
  • Support staffing, workforce planning, and employee engagement to foster a positive team environment.

Job description

We are seeking a Production Supervisor (2nd or 3rd Shift) to lead manufacturing operations within a highly regulated food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing production performance, employee development, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, enjoys developing teams, and is passionate about driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives across assigned production areas
  • Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and quality while ensuring adherence to FDA, OSHA, GMP, and company policies and procedures
  • Monitor and improve key operational metrics including OEE, downtime, throughput, labor efficiency, material utilization, and schedule attainment
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, waste reduction, cost savings, and overall operational performance
  • Analyze production results and implement corrective actions to improve line performance, product quality, and team effectiveness
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues and support plant objectives
  • Develop, coach, and mentor production employees through training, performance management, and employee development initiatives
  • Support staffing activities, workforce planning, and employee engagement efforts while fostering a positive and accountable team environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
  • Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience managing production teams and driving operational performance
  • Knowledge of process controls, manufacturing systems, and key performance indicators
  • Experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies
  • Strong project planning, organization, and execution skills
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment such as food & beverage, nutrition, pharmaceutical, medical device, or consumer products manufacturing preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and employee development capabilities
