Position Overview

The Production Shift Manager oversees the safe and efficient manufacturing of quality products by managing manpower, materials, and equipment. This role supervises the extrusion, converting, printing, and recycling departments, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality standards. Responsibilities include planning, task delegation, hiring assistance, training, and policy enforcement.

This position follows a 2-2-3 schedule with night shifts from 8 PM to 8 AM.

Responsibilities

• Promote and lead workplace safety initiatives
• Conduct safety discussions and audits
• Attend scheduled shifts and management meetings
• Review and improve production schedules
• Manage staffing levels and collaborate with HR
• Provide on-the-job training
• Maintain housekeeping standards and update line charts
• Plan for job changes and conduct performance audits
• Identify production bottlenecks and suggest improvements
• Prepare work orders, requisitions, and maintenance requests
• Document procedures and work instructions
• Approve time and attendance records
• Complete production and runtime reports
• Collaborate on coaching and policy enforcement
• Maintain safety, quality, HR, and production records
• Ensure QMS compliance
• Conduct team meetings and promote continuous improvement
• Report issues to management
• Participate in training seminars
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree

Experience: 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
