Job summary

Ranger-Energy-Services- is seeking a Rig Supervisor in Midland, TX to lead crew operations on a well servicing rig. You will oversee logistics, staffing, and safe execution of tasks, while supporting maintenance and technical troubleshooting on location.

The role requires 5–8 years of rig experience, CDL or ability to obtain, and strong leadership and multitasking abilities. A flexible schedule and legal authorization to work in the United States are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience on a well servicing rig preferred.
• Must be able to perform rig operator, floor hand, and derrick hand duties.
• Must have a valid state license, CDL, or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to perform manual labor to operate well servicing equipment.
• Knowledge of running tongs and Ranger Energy equipment.
• Strong communication, leadership, and multitasking skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with management on rig logistics and workflow.
• Mannings and scheduling coordination with District Manager.
• Guides rig crew on assigned tasks and performance.
• Performs BOP inspection and testing as needed.
• Maintenance of equipment and documentation with HSE/DOT teams.
• Operates power swivel, crown and ground saver as needed.
• Performs torque calculations and specs.
• Ensures proper fall protection procedures.
• Assists in racking of rod tubing and daily tong operation.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper functioning of site and tools.
• Understands Hazard IDs and safety SOPs.
• Inspects and maintains equipment on site.
• Trains and mentors crew on down-hole tools and compressors.
• Tracks costs, labor, and revenue for jobs; provides weekly budget analysis.
• Coordinates repair of equipment and tools.
• Provides on-location supervision and technical assistance to crew.
• Maintains positive work environment and coaching for duties.
